Farm Offerings

Enjoy all our farm has to offer throughout the seasons!

Our Petting Zoo, Play Area and Market Barn are back open for the season starting May 30, 2026!

Feed the animals with seasonal or single use feed cups, available for purchase at the Market Barn, and shop fresh produce grown onsite alongside locally sourced goods.

Continuing this year: slushies, soft serve, pizza and homemade donuts. Watch our social media for kitchen updates! We'll be adding more delicious treats, features and grab & go items!

Just about everything we sell is grown/sourced/produced in West Michigan or on our farm. For the duration of our season, our shelves will be stocked with local honey, canned goods, coffee, & more! We firmly believe in supporting local!

Activities

There is no general admission or parking fee at Deep Roots. On the farm, we strive to have offerings for all budgets. If you have questions regarding any pricing, please email deeprootsproduce@gmail.com

Our Market Barn + Petting Zoo Free to explore!

Petting Zoo Feed Cups: One time use cups $5, Seasonal cups (refillable once daily $40)

Pumpkin Patch: no admission, just the cost of the pumpkin

Paid Activities

The Farmyard (our two acre play area) Corn Maze, Sunflower Maze, Glow Nights, and our U-Cut Flower Field.

 

Day passes to The Farmyard are $8. Pricing for seasonal activities will be shared closer to opening dates of each activity. 

Admission is required for these areas for all visitors ages 3 and older. Ages 0-2 are free. You may purchase a single day pass or a season pass.

June - July
  • Our fields begin producing mid-June! 

  • Fresh produce grown onsite includes:

    • Lettuce (various types)

    • Summer squash

    • Kale

    • Cucumbers

    • Other seasonal vegetables

  • Locally sourced produce during this time:

    • Greenhouse tomatoes

    • Root vegetables

    • Sweet onions

    • Strawberries

    • And MORE!

  • Our Corn Maze will be planted Mid-June and begin to grow 8-9 feet by Maze opening day!

July - August
  • U-Pick Tomato Field opens once the plants are bursting with fruit — typically late July to early August! It will remain open through first frost

  • We grow a colorful mix of Romas, Rounds, Grape & Cherry Tomatoes, and Heirlooms

  • Fresh, South Haven-Grown Blueberries are also available! We bring our berries in often, and they are always FLAVORFUL.​ ​

  • Starting late July, our market fills up with:

    • Sweet corn

    • Bell peppers

    • Eggplant

    • Hot peppers

    • Beans

    • Peaches

    • And SO MUCH MORE!

  • Our sweet corn comes from E. Miedema & Sons in Byron Center

  • Zinnia + Cosmo Field + Cut Flowers - we are growing 1.5 acres of colorful zinnias and cosmos! We will also be growing rows of other cut flower varieties. U-pick available. Admission is required for all flower fields.

  • Our peaches come from Alt Farms in Fruit Ridge

August - September
  • Our fields are in PEAK HARVEST – the market is overflowing with fresh, in-season fruits and veggies!

  • U-Pick Tomatoes

    • Pick by the pound or grab a few bushels for canning

    • Typically opens by early August

  • Sunflower Field opens mid-August - Admission Required​, blooms are highly weather dependent. Follow social media for updates

  • Our FAMOUS WATERMELONS are ready - typically by August 20th!

    • If you haven't tried our yellow watermelon, it's a MUST HAVE!

    • We also grow and sell standard pink/red melons. CANTALOUPE will also be available around this time.

  • Corn Maze opens early September

    • This year’s design revealed in early August

    • 7-acre maze 

    • Includes a punch card map—find all 12 checkpoints to complete the maze

    • GPS map available for smartphone users

  • Pumpkins available early September!

    • Plus mums and fall porch décor

    • Over 15 pumpkin varieties, including:

    • Classic Jack-O-Lanterns

    • Fairytale Pumpkins in several colors

    • Pie Pumpkins

  • Choose U-Pick or Pre-Picked pumpkins for your fall fun

September - October
  • Fall Fun is in FULL SWING!

  • U-Pick Pumpkin Patch opens mid September! Prepicked selection also available

  • Please reference our Events page to view our Corn Maze Events and other fun happenings!​

  • Summer veggie harvest is starting to slow down, but we still have a good assortment of produce including:

    • Late harvest tomatoes

    • Kale

    • Winter Squash

    • Potatoes, etc...) along with other local goods!

November - December
  • Last day of our season is November 1st - we will be closing at 3pm.

  • We will not be opening in December and will remain closed until May of 2027
